Honestly, I've never lived alone. I went from my mom's house to living with my aunt, her roommate, and two (then three) little barky dogs. Then I moved here to Steve's. Actually, at this rate, the next place I live will have like 6 people living in it, which I would hate.
The most "alone" I've ever been was either living at my mom's when she was single (because she frequently was at work, leaving me alone in the house, which I love), or living at my aunt's because I was alone maybe half the time.
Although a lot of times, when I get on a night-owl bender and never seen the sun, it's like living alone, but having paper-thin walls and trying not to disturb the neighbors. Personally, I love that the most. The only trick is to remember to get out of the house sometimes and see other people, or else I go a little crazy. It's easy to start thinking you're the only real person in the world and everyone else is just imaginary. :p
