Honing my newly acquired photography skills...and a visual journey through the Maryland Zoo.

I ♥ prairie dogs. They were my favorite animals at the zoo once upon a time.






Snap, even I will admit I need a bit of a tan.


Being a bad role model for passing children, who were tempted by our trespassing on the bamboo area to do the same.


I am so happy with this one. It turned out SO well.


The lions were missing from their exhibit, so [info]greenigma21 and I had to take their place in a nearby artificial habitat.




I can't stop looking at this picture...zomg I LOVE THIS CAMERA. The vibrancy of the color is amazing. Heather, thank you so much for being my model for the day, you were perfect. :D

The zoo was surprisingly small. Taking our time, we blew through it in less than three hours. But yeah, mandrills would have been an amazing subject to photograph, as long as they weren't behind glass (makes it hard to focus).

Haha, no, you look crafty. At least you weren't swinging like a monkey from the bamboo ;)

The picture where the okapi posed came out all blurry! I was so disappointed.

Those are such great pictures! I really, really love the giraffe and especially the one with the fish. I've never seen such a clear, colorful picture of an aquarium like that, outside of a magazine or something. Awesome stuff.
